Those were the best days of my life
I'm taking Friday and Monday off work so Amber and I can have a long weekend of fun before she heads back to school. We're not sure what or where we will go but it will be fun! I'm sure pictures will follow.
Two weeks from tomorrow Amber will start 8th grade. And in five weeks -my baby- will turn 14 years old! It seems like every year passes quicker. I wish I could grab time and slow it down. I can't even think about the day she get her drivers license or even worse, when she moves out!
Amber is ready to go back to school. She has actually been ready since the last day of summer school. They have a cool program in the Northwest School District where the kids volunteerly go to summer school and if they attend everyday for 5 weeks they get a $100 visa card. Amber missed one day so her visa card was worth $75. She did some clothes shopping and got her haircut. I have before and after pictures to post but they're still on my camera. It looks really cute but she was nervous as hell about doing it. Amber had beautiful, thick, straight hair but now it has long layers and those side bangs that all the kids are wearing. It looks great and makes my beautiful girl look gorgeous.
I have one full day of work before my four days off and I plan to enjoy every second of those days. With the school year starting soon it'll be back to the grind in our house. Tuesday afternoon we have dentist appointments, Wednesday is open house and then school shopping next weekend...when I think about it all it makes me look forward to some time to have fun and not worry/think about all that responsibility!
Yep, it's that time of year again - Back to School. Megan will be in 8th grade, too. It seems like just yesterday that she was going into kindergarden. :( They grow up too quickly.
