And I love you like all little children love pennies

Tomorrow I turn 35 years old. I've been low key about this birthday because I'm not really excited about getting another year older and 35 is halfway to 40. But birthdays happen and there isn't anything I can do to stop them.

Tomorrow night, me, Steve, Amber and one of her friends are going to the Monster truck show. I guess this makes it my 14th or 15th year in a row. I' m looking forward to it but I'm not looking forward to fighting for a parking spot and walking miles in the freezing cold dodging the Mardi Gras drunks.

Steve and I babysat Jordan Wednesday night. It was only for a couple of hours but it was fun. I'm so more relaxed around babies now than I was when I had my own. I was so nervous with Amber and wasn't exactly sure what to do but now I just enjoy holding the babies and if they start to cry I don't panic, I actually think it's kinda cute. Maybe because it's not my baby and I can give them back to their mom. Love 'em and leave 'em!

Steve and I went out to lunch on Valentines Day and he got me candy. I didn't expect anything so it was nice he did do something to acknowledged the day. Dove dark chocolate covered almonds are my new favorite chocolate addiction.

I miss my Mom. I haven't talked to her in a couple of weeks but only because we've been playing phone tag. I'm glad she's enjoying herself but I always really miss her being around for my birthday. She's calling me tomorrow so I will be anxiously waiting by the phone.

Well HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!!! I didn't like turning 35, either for some reason. 36, 37 and 38 have all been fine, so I guess it gets easier.

Dude, 35 is halfway to 70. You're way closer to 40 than that.
