Im going off the rails on a crazy train

Amber and I went to Branson this past weekend. We has a great time and did tons of shopping especially after a stormy Saturday morning and gloomy afternoon. On a complete whim I decided to get another tattoo after walking past a tattoo shop. It's a purple hibiscus on my ankle. I'll post a picture soon. I really love it but hate the healing process.

Mmmmm, I feel lucky today

Yesterday we went to Applebees for dinner and there was a problem with the cooks in the kitchen so it took them close to 45 minutes to get our food out. The manager (Jason) came out, apologized, and took care of our check. Then last night we went to Marty's and this guy (he likes me) paid for our tab. I guess you could say it was my lucky day!

We are family

My sister daughter and me:

Everyone we meet thinks we are sisters. I love the shock on their face when she calls me "Mom." Every waiter/waitress ask us if we want separate checks. We just smile and say no. We are both flattered because they're saying Amber looks older and I look younger.

So I made her the queen of my double wide trailer

I bought my mobile home new and I haven't done any home improvements since I moved in. I decided it's time for some change! The kitchen has printed dry wall covered with blue and burgundy flowers. After 13 years, I'm tired of looking at those flowers. This weekend I'm going to prime the walls and cover the flowers. For some, this may be no big deal but for someone like me that hasn't done much painting, this will be a challenge. I've helped people paint before but I've never taken on a project like this. I'm using an oil based primer so I'll have to tape around everything and the majority of it will be cutting. I'm nervous to say the least.

Between priming the walls, painting, and putting up new curtains it'll probably take me a couple of weeks. I'll post before and after pictures but don't expect a kitchen overhaul. I'm still stuck with my same appliances, countertops, sink and floor but it'll be an improvement. I hope.

The whole world's upside down baby

Oh, did I tell you I'm going to be an aunt again in May. I didn't. That's because we all just found out 6 weeks ago...including my sister and brother in law. That's right folks, my sister didn't know she was 7 months pregnant until she felt a baby kicking in her stomach. Surprise! Thankfully the baby seems healthy and of a good weight. And it's a boy...Andrew Scott.

Speaking of pregnancy...not one but two of Amber's friends are pregnant. Including her best friend, Danielle. Both of these girls are 15 years old! Danielle is due in June and Samantha in August. You would not believe the looks I get from the public when Danielle is with us. Sometimes I feel like wearing a sign that says "She's not my kid!"

One of my youngest cousins is also pregnant but she's happily married and 25 years old. I remember like it was yesterday the day she was born. I watched her grow up and now she's having a baby. I feel so old...

...but look so good.
